About X LITE
The X LITE is specially designed for Hike & Fly, combining maximum lightness and compactness. Weighing just 741 g (X LITE 80), the selection of materials and the optimization of its structure ensure reliability and durability while maintaining the lightest weight on the market.
The X LITE brings a host of innovations, notably thanks to its all-new riser, which features a groundbreaking design. Developed in collaboration with COUSIN Trestec, the riser is equipped with technology inspired by parallel-core braided climbing gear, giving it increased strength and excellent elasticity. This flexibility helpsabsorb some of the energy during canopy deployment. The forces acting on the canopy are reduced, allowing for the use of lighter materials that still provide optimal energy dissipation.
Even with its featherweight design, the X LITE makes no compromises on safety. The panel structure forms a new, flatter canopy, resulting in improved stability and a smoother descent.
The assembly of the parachute’s various parts forms a “spiderweb” whose purpose is to redirect stresses toward the edges of the parachute in order to dissipate energy and prevent the accumulation of force at a single point. This more robust design allows for the use of lighter fabrics while maintaining a high level of safety.
Whether you’re an experienced athlete or a Hike & Fly enthusiast, the X LITE makes your life easier. With its color-coded lines and folding guides on the panels, the X LITE makes folding particularly quick and easy. Just follow the guides, and in a few minutes, your parachute will be perfectly folded. No more excuses for putting off folding your paraglider!
The X LITE’s original pod features flaps specifically designed to open in two stages, thereby preventing any interference between the two loops that hold the lines and the pod in the closed position. It is possible to install the X LITE in a pod other than the original, provided that the opening system is checked beforehand to ensure it functions properly.
The X LITE is available in two sizes, and a third size will be available soon:
- X LITE 80 with a weightall-up weight ing from 45 to 80 kg without the canopy*.
- X LITE 95 with a weightall-up weight ing from 60 to 95 kg without the canopy*.
- X LITE 110 with a weightall-up weight ing from 75 to 110 kg without the canopy*.

At the Heart of Ultralight Flying
Imagine a reserve parachute so light and compact that you almost forget it's there. Starting at 741 grams, the X LITE offers unmatched lightness and compactness.
Its light weight isn't its only advantage: thanks to its unmatched compactness, it has a small volume of just 2.02 L in size 80. This allows you to save weight without compromising on safety.
Designed for Hike & Fly enthusiasts seeking performance and lightness, the X LITE strikes a balance between technical innovation and minimalism. It’s a must-have for pilots looking for a lightweight wing who won’t compromise on safety.
The DYNALINK Innovation
Our designers’ initial goal was ambitious: to design the world’s lightest web reserve parachute r while maintaining the highest level of safety and durability.
To achieve this, the major challenge for the parachute is to pass the certification tests, which subject it to extreme stresses. The lighter the product, the more likely its structure is to be weakened, which prevents it from passing this crucial stage.
To meet this challenge, SUPAIR partnered with COUSIN Trestec and drew on their expertise in rope technologies to develop a new kind of hoist: the DYNALINK, an exclusive innovation now protected by a patent.
Today, most parachutes are equipped with a static line as well as reinforcements in the canopy to absorb the impact upon opening and ensure the parachute remains intact.
DYNALINK, on the other hand, takes a completely different approach. Thanks to the elasticity of the materials used, the elevator absorbs some of the energy by deforming, thereby reducing the stresses placed on the rest of the structure. Once the energy has been absorbed, the elevator returns to its original shape. This operation is therefore non-destructive.
The use of this new technologyallows forthe use of lighter materials than when the impact is absorbed solely by the reinforcements. Thanks to this innovation, for which a patent is pending, the X LITE pushes the boundaries of ultra-lightweight design while easily passing all the certification and safety tests required by industry standards.
A durable parachute
The materials and design techniques used in the X LITE give it incredible strength relative to its weight.
Just like the dynamic elevator, the panel cutouts and their arrangement are designed to dissipate and distribute the forces and pressures to which the parachute is subjected during deployment.
This “spiderweb” design instantly distributes the stresses more evenly across the entire wing, thereby preventing these forces from accumulating at any single point.
Simple and intuitive folding
We believe that a parachute should be easy to pack so that the pilot can adhere to the recommended packing intervals and thus ensure his or her safety.
Although the X LITE is a high-end, lightweight, high-performance parachute, it is still easy to fold thanks to its numerous visual guides. These markings show you exactly where to hold the panels to fold this square parachute correctly.
Whether it's the color-coded lines to divide the canopy, the ties to gather the panels, or the markings for precise folding, the X LITE simplifies the folding process as much as possible.
No Compromises on Safety
The X LITE's square design provides greater stability for the parachute during descent, and thus a high level of passive safety.
To slow down a parachute’s descent speed, the canopy must be designed to orient itself as perpendicular as possible to the descent path. That is why the X LITE’s profile is completely smoothed out to increase the surface area oriented along this axis.
This optimization of the parachute meets this key safety criterion, resulting in a reduced and safe "sink rate ."

Frequently Asked Questions About the X LITE
741 g without the pod in size 80. Its volume is just 2.02 liters. It is designed for hike & fly, where every gram counts.
The size depends on your all-up weight, excluding the canopy: X LITE 80 for 45 to 80 kg, X LITE 95 for 60 to 95 kg, X LITE 110 for 75 to 110 kg.
A patented riser, developed in collaboration with COUSIN Trestec and inspired by climbing ropes. It stretches when opened to absorb some of the energy, then returns to its original shape. This reduces the stress on the parachute and allows for lighter fabrics.
Yes. The suspension lines are color-coded, the panels have folding marks, and ties are provided to hold them together. If you follow the marks, folding them takes just a few minutes.
Yes, as long as you first make sure the opening mechanism works properly. The original pod is designed to open in two stages to prevent the closure loops from getting in the way.
